TURN-KEY

FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION CERTIFICATION

Within the Aviation Design Management organization is a group of Federal Aviation Administration designated specialists.  This group consults with interior/exterior design, systems design, quality control, planning, project management, structural design, and equipment suppliers.  From these consultations and meetings, the details of the modifications or completion are established.  A certification program plan/statement of work is developed.

A meeting with the certification authorities is held where a detailed modification and certification schedule is presented.

A certification team will function for the FAA and the customer to approve data, qualify parts, prepare test plans, witness and approve tests and schedule conformity inspections.  The certification team will report to the program management team or the customer as to certification schedule adherence.

The team will assist with critical design review and submit all approved design data to the FAA.  This group may consist of the following FAA DER specialists:

  • Administrative/Management
  • Structure
  • Systems and Equipment-Mechanical

  • Flight Analyst
  • Systems and Equipment-Electrical
  • Flight Test Pilot
  • Powerplant
